Hilary Abigana - Assistant Director, Flute

Flutist, Hilary Abigana has been surrounded by Irish music since she was a small kid growing up in Northern California in a family of classical musicians. Wishing the family could play music together (the primary instruments at the time being flute, violin, tuba and piano), Hilary’s parents bought her first Irish flute and the family band, The Heritage Quartet, was born. The quartet became local celebrities by performing at events ranging from benefit concerts in town to The Old Faithful Inn in Yellowstone Park on vacation. Hilary’s love for Irish music deepened when she began attending the Irish session in Evansville, IN where she also bought her current flute, made by Eamonn Cotter.

Hilary is a co-founder of The Fourth Wall, a hybrid arts ensemble in which musicians are also dancers and actors. For more information, please visit www.hilaryabigana.com
